Sound Upload

Ok, so I have been working hard to expand on Sound Upload. Now here is a list of all the new things that have been added to Sound Upload within the past 2 months.

Sound Upload Music (Visit)
You obviously know about this as this has been mentioned. Basically if you are an unsigned artist or band then you can promote your stuff for free. Just register an account and change it to a “music” account.

Sound Upload Lyrics (Visit)
Keep getting told by your mates that you”don’t know the words” to a song? Don’t worry - I get told it too… so now you don’t need to worry as there are over 35,000 lyrics added from over 1,000 artists in the lyrics directory. Plus more are being added weekly - including things you wouldn’t think of, like The Brand New Cheesy Song from Radio 1’s Chris Moyles Show.

Sound Upload News (Visit)
This opened yesterday with the first piece of news being added earlier on. The news section will be the top place to be for worldwide music news, including new releases, chart positions (UK at the moment) and general music news.

Reffering after Logging In and Logging Out
Originally when you was on a page and you had to log in or wanted to log out it used to redirect you to the homepage, well now it doesn’t (unless you are viewing a member page - of which then you will be refferred to the member page). I added this feature because it is a bit annoying when you’re in deep in the site somewhere and lose the page because you had to log in / log out. Hope this addition helps!

That’s basically everything that is available on Sound Upload at the moment - the site is still being updated with different bits and bobs that help the site run much better and still all for FREE! I’ve just got access to the internet and “woah!” over 3,500 pending pieces of audio. So far I have done about 500 tonight and will be doing more tommorow. I must say though I have also been doing other stuff on the “hidden bit” of Sound Upload. These include me getting a list of any audio that has not been downloaded at all in a year and have been removing them. I have also wrote up a new FAQ and a TOS/Privacy Policy which I will also be launching tommorow.

I would like to, also, in the next few weeks (possibly) try out a brand new look to Sound Upload, as I’m not too sure if the dark colours suit it properly? What do you think? Should I stay dark or should I lighten it up a bit with a mixture of blue, green, red and white?

I have also, sadly, noticed that the “music” section of Sound Upload isn’t exactly going the way I thought it would, but then again I haven’t really advertised it… I have only placed it in the top bar of the site. Though if you are a unsigned artist or an unsigned band then register straight away and get yourself on Sound Upload and promote your music!!
